LEATHER FRAME ELEMENT

Miles whipped this frame together for you as we were away all day yesterday and he could not take my whimpering as I struggled at the computer in vain...

Miles had a business appointment in Penticton at ten. A moment before we were to leave the house we recieved an unexpected phone call from a friend with a proposal that has left us feeling stunned, blessed and amazed. What she shared with us is would be a life-changing decision and it has filled our thoughts ever since. I can't tell you the details right now, but sometime in the future it shall unfold here on the blog. Isn't it cool - you get to come along on this journey with Miles and I. Its astounding how one small thing can change your entire day, week, month, year - life!

At my request, Miles dropped me at the mall where I did some extra 'daughter' shopping for late Christmas. We have one daughter who we did not get to spend time with during the holidays and so we were eager to spend time with her yesterday. We sort of have a tradition of buying her the softily-est pajamas we can find, the sort that newborn babies would wear, made of buttery polar fleece. What a treat to be able to buy at post-Christmas sale prices. I think I paid 50% of every item! Do you ever realize that not only do you save the MONEY on the item, but the extra TAX too? To me, that's doubly satisfying. Miles insisted on buying me a pair too...

We let our girlie open her gifts, squeel with pleasure - basked in the platitudes of "how did you know I needed EXACTLY this?" Next we took her out for a bite at Red Robin before dropping her off at work. Melanie, sweetie, it was a beautiful day with you - only wish it were longer.

I was eating wise yesterday. Christmas and the company killed me and I am now on a mission to lose 20 lb. I am not 'overwieght' but I know that I could easily get this way. I want to stay my best for Miles and it will be easier to do it now than if I let it get away on me. I would love any suggestions along my journey...

Thank you all for your comments - I'm moved that I would inspire you to buy Dr. Chapman's book (yesterday's blog) and Amy's advice for newlyweds. Sometimes you all make my blog comments read better and more interesting than my blog content. LOL Also someone left a comment mentioning you made a layout using an element of mine and would I like to see it - well YES!! Please send me a link, I would rather see YOUR layouts featured on my blog than mine anyday - my blog es su bloggie... (no return address on the comment made it impossible to reply via email)

DID YOU EVER WONDER? (part 2)

If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it Fed UP?

Do Lipton Tea employees take coffee breaks?

I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older, then it dawned on me . . they're cramming for their final exam.

I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks so I wondered, what do Chinese mothers use? Toothpicks?

Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office? What are we supposed to do, write to them? Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the mailmen could look for them while they delivered the mail?

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

No one ever says, "It's only a game," when their team is winning.

Ever wonder what the speed of lightning would be if it didn't zigzag?

If a cow laughed, would milk come out her nose?

Whatever happened to preparations A through G?

If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?
