MILES FUNKY/SPOOKY HALLOWEEN HANDBAG

Some of you are wondering what you will use my purses for - so do I, he he. Actually, instead of counting sheep I thought 'let me count the ways'... I think you might use purses in layouts for fashion (when your girl dresses up) for shopping layouts (an assorment of accessories are in the making) for layouts about driving, or vacation or layouts about forgetting your purse...surely we have ALL done that at some point. Do you have suggestions too?

I am not one for superstition - logically, but I do have a few that are sort of 'ingrained' because my Gramma believed them. I think the one that gets me in mid-motion is 'don't put your shoes on the counter/table' I catch myself, and others and stop them just in time... Honestly I know that its more to honour her wisdom and memory and not that I invite some sort of evil to befall me by performing certain things. This, because of course, today being Friday the 13th. I was listening to CBC radio as I was waking and they said a study shows that some people may actually manufacture a bad day today in believing that it is bad luck. Its a GOOD day, folks!

I TOOK a bag to the thrift store yesterday and almost made it out without a purchase until I saw... a teapot. Yes, if you've followed my blog for a while you know that I bought 4 tiny teapots just a wee bit ago. How I fought to walk away from this one, but I did not fight hard. Well, just LOOK at it! This teapot was lovingly crafted by hand, with a brilliant glaze inside, and the rich brown tones spoke longingly of a grouping with my other pots for a pretty, but functional display. I was half afraid to tell Miles I brought another one home, but when I did, he actually was pleased with this - go figure, my Italian boy likes teapots.

Ok, if you are a pumpkin pie fan - you HAVE to check out the new Dairy Queen Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. I had one yesterday and it was absolutely delectable - light and cool, with whip cream on top. A very close second to my Mother In Law's pie, she makes the best!

Its another beautiful morning here - the mornings bring soft pastel sunrises as the town stirs to awakening. I look forward to a run later in the day (right, work off that Blizzard) You all have a wonderful day too. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I know this link was being passed around at DST yesterday, and a friend passed it to me - its a beautiful link to a very powerful and touching video. Please take a moment to be blessed by it too, my friends. You can view the movie, called Dash, HERE

ECCLESIASTES 5:2

Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God.
God is in heaven and you are on earth,
so let your words be few.

Lord, fill my mouth with worthwhile stuff,
and nudge me when I've said enough!

BARB'S HANDY TIP # 95
Keep Your Jack-O-Lantern Youthful Looking

What, makeup for your pumpkin? Sort of. When you carve your Jack-O-Lantern, dab vaseline on any cut surfaces and it will prevent them from shrivelling. It seals in the moisture and keeps air out. You should get an extra week out of Jack! (hmm...meybe I will try this on me?)
