JUST TUESDAY - A DAY IN THE ROAD BACK TO NORMALICY

PRETTY POLKADOT FLOWER ELEMENT
Janice is coming, Janice is coming! Too many days without my friend Janice and her two cute and rambuntious (sp?) lil boys. Between their unfortunate bouts with pink eye and colds and appointments with allergy specialists we've really just passed each other by these last few weeks. And I have missed them. Today dawned nice and hot and sunny so we will enjoy the out of doors together, with the cameras of course.
O gift of God! O perfect day!
Whereon shall no man work, but play;
Whereon it is enough for me
Not to be doing, but to be.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I went to the BIG yardsale this morning. Since this was actually THE FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH, it was actually happening this time. If you're here for the first time today, you have to know that I dragged my dear husband there LAST week...oops. Eight o'clock in the morning and there was nobody there at all, he was not impressed. I made a few terrific buys this morning, racking up a bill total of $7.50. Thats a lot for me.
You may notice my new slideshow, to the right. It features the family scrapbook album that I created for my friend Alicia. It will be a gift to her mother on her birthday. It was a huge endeavor and I (along with Alicia) learned A LOT along the way, and cultivated our friendship to a whole new level. The book has now been uploaded to mypublisher.com in the UK who will send the published hardcover book right to mum for her special day. I am so pleased with how it all turned out.
Also, I would like to mention, the new online magazine for June for Christian Woman Online is now up, the link is to the right as well. There are some terrific articles you may enjoy!
BARB'S TIP #27
Keeping Your Gardening Hands Soft
With summer here, gardening and wearing sandals takes a toll on our feet and hands. There are many commercial products out there to keep them soft and subtle, but there's really no need to spend a lot of money for a deep conditioning. Simply buy plain vasaline. Rub a good dollop over hands, and wearing rubber gloves go about your cleaning for 1/2 hour. You will be amazed. Alternately, keep one pair of old socks for this purpose - rub your feet with Vasaline and wear socks for 1/2 hour.

  1. I needed that tip for my dry feet! I heard of the vaseline and sock long ago, but forgot, thanks.
