WINTER KITTY ELEMENT
download

SWEET BIRDS ELEMENT

I'm giving two elements today. These are both hand painted. I did not put a background behind the lil birds, so you can use them all year long... but they do come with seeds, so you won't have to feed them. he he! If you want to use them with a snowy looking background you might use your airbrush setting of your brush in PS... And I NEED TO KNOW - how are you liking my hand-painted elements... would you like more? Or the other sorts? Do tell!

I want to THANK YOU folks soooo much for your warm comments - I just love to hear from you. I must confess that I had not checked our personal site for a while and so I had missed a few... now this is remedied and I apologise. Miles and I plan to revamp and update our personal site over the Christmas holidays, ok? We may take a week off over that time, but we will create something wonderful to give away there when we arrive back! We will keep you posted though, so you know!

Yesterday was blissfully quiet - just a nice stay-at-home kind of Saturday... well, I did go out once to shop for a few groceries. I needed the walk so that I could round out my excersize for the day. I talked Miles into trying out that dorm-room workout with me - you know, the 20 minute one that was free from Oprah? It has us both groaning by the end of it. We don't do enough of that stuff that would make us a bit more flexible. Truly though, for a 'beginner' workout, it slays!

ME AND MY BROTHERS LONG AGO!
yes, thats me on the far left!

So... Miles went off to the gym and I for a lonnng roundabout walk to shop for the groceries for the rest of my workout. I chose the grocery store furthest from our house. So, this was me speaking Miles love language of the day as he requested pizza for dinner. Its almost tradition for us to have home made pizza once a week, but its a 1/2 day operation by the time I make the dough from scratch, precook the meats, chop the veggies and shred the cheese. (I usually end up grating the ends of my nails too - giggle!)

Speaking of 'love language'... I heard a snippet on the radio this morning... as it was fading in and out... that a man, somewhere in the southeastern USA (some place warm all year long) built and kept a secret for a year... a snowmachine... and he surprized her with a yard full of snow one morning... and they had a snowball fight... now THATS AMORE!

I am going to keep today's entry short and sweet - spend some time with my sweetie and make something special for tomorrows download. You all have a blessed day! I will leave you with this poem which I have taken from Streams in the Desert by Mrs. Chas. E. Cowman It is proceeded by this sentiment as well, and it speaks deeply to me... especially at this time of the year.

Give what you have; to someone it may be better than you dare to think.
- Longfellow

The tender word unspoken,
The letter you did not write,
The flower you might have sent, dear,
Are your haunting ghosts at night.

The stone you might have lifted,
Out of your brother's way,
The bit of heartsome counsel,
You were hurried too much to say;
The loving touch of the hand, dear,
The gentle and winsome tone,
That you had no time or thought for,
With troubles enough of your own.

These little acts of kindness,
So easily out of mind,
These chances to be angels,
Which even mortals find -
They come in night and silence,
Each chill reproachful wraith,
When hope is faint and flagging,
And a blight has dropped on faith.

For life is all too short, dear,
And sorrow is all too great,
To suffer our slow compassion,
That tarries until too late.
And its not the thing you do, dear,
Its the thing you leave undone,
Which gives you the bitter heartache,
At the setting of the sun.

-Adelaide Proctor
