Isn't Gina's snowman just the sweetest ever? I would stand on my head in the snow to brighten her day but I would get severe brain freeze, so I decided to do something a little more reasonable. With Christmas looming closer it will be even more difficult. Have you lost a loved one and remember the pain? I know this one will be hard for me losing my Gramma - how much more so for my Gina losing her boy. I know we are all busy - busier than ever right now... but if you could give me a present I would simply ask you leave some love at her blog so she's not going through this alone. All you have to do is click HERE.
I would ask that we all pray for the Kim family in their loss. If you did not hear Kim died while going for help for his family stranded in the cold weather, in Oregon. This must be a devastating time for them too.
So I spent most of yesterday getting 'pancake bum' while digital painting. I was supposed to do some real acrylic painting with my friend Janice, but she could not make it so I decided to get back into Painter. Miles bought Painter for me for Christmas two years ago but my computer kept crashing when I used it. Now we have a different computer that can actually handle it so I went to town on it yesterday. I used mostly the pastels in Painter to make this little guy and then imported him into PS to do the cleanups. I did three little things for you over the next few days. Ohhh how fun that was. I had to take a bum break at supper time to work out and work out the kinks.
I recieved an email yesterday from blog reader Mavis, who, it turns out, recognized the mountains in the background of my Christmas card I posted recently. She then continued to read through my blog, to discover a layout I had done last summer who she thought might be her nieces... and it WAS... LOL Turns out Mavis lives right here in good old Osoyoos and we know her relatives from a way long ago. How funny is THAT? Well, Mavis and I will be getting together in the future. What a small old world.
I am starting to consciously fit in nice little acts of kindness for my sweet as with this time of the year its easy to take advantage of each other and leave each other out of the loop. Making a delicious sandwhich - whith love notes, giving him a foot massage after a hard day, etc.. From now until Christmas I will find creative ways to let him know that though we are busy, I'm never too busy to do something to show him he's #1. He does this for me, too.
I am awaiting permission from some readers to publish their layouts here - ones using my elements... I would love to publish yours too - just send me the link and please give me permission at the same time to place your layout here.

And here's some polite ways to acknowledge those gifts that just are'nt quite what you were hoping for.... (he he)
- Hey! There's a gift!
- Well, well, well ...
Boy, if I had not recently shot up 4 sizes that would've fit.
This is perfect for wearing around the basement.
Gosh. I hope this never catches fire! It is fire season though. There are lots of unexplained fires.
If the dog buries it, I'll be furious!
I love it -- but I fear the jealousy it will inspire.
Sadly, tomorrow I enter the Federal Witness Protection Program.
To think -- I got this the year I vowed to give all my gifts to charity.
I really don't deserve this.
