FALL ACORN ELEMENT

Our Pastor spoke a wonderful message yesterday. The title was "Blessed Assurance" and he opened our eyes to see that even when God forgives us, we still keep fanning the coals of guilt and shame - of the past, of things we can't change. To sum it up - WHAT YOU CAN'T FORGET, GOD CAN'T REMEMBER. Isn't this so true? A good rule is to examine whatever you're carrying around (that you supposedly gave to God) - take a look at it and determine if you can change that situation. If you can't then you need to let go. You are wasting your energies and frustrating yourself. When God forgives you, its COMPLETE!

"God, you remember that little problem I had with my friend? It's been bothering me a lot lately."

"What problem are you speaking about, My Child?"

"Oh, you know, the one where I was gossipping about my friend - I feel so bad, it's like heartburn, it keeps returning."

"Hmmm... I don't seem to remember."

"But God, You know everything. Surely you remember this, after all, I prayed for your forgiveness, and I was sure that you granted it to me..."

"Oh, my Child, I FORGAVE YOU. When will you have the faith to know I've not just forgiven, but forgotten. Let's get ready for the next set of 'problems' in Your life, this is holding our relationship back"

Some scriptures which are relevent to this message:

II Corinthians 13:5

ITALIA
We shared in our friend Italia and John's special day yesterday - their 6th wedding anniversary, with a small gathering at their home on the shores of Osoyoos Lake. There's always interesting people, good food and good times to be found here.

Some folks had to rest - I'm sure due to all the excitement... If you would like to see a small slide show of the party you can see it by clicking HERE.
