St. Patricks Contest (link to) and a Giveaway!

Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?  I used to when I was a child - I remember with great fondness cutting out four leaf clovers and hoping to see leprechauns.  I remember dressing up in green and people bringing cupcakes with green icing.  Well I'm all grown up now and no longer celebrate it myself, but being as I have a good blog friend who lives in Ireland I thought that you might like to learn more about the true holiday from JanMary.  In fact, JanMary is hosting a St. Patrick's Day Blogging Carnival and you have plenty of time to hop on board - with chances to win some nice prizes.  Just click the graphic below and you'll be zapped over to Ireland to JanMary's place.

And since I was feeling creative I decided to take a break from my million other interests and obligations to build you a St. Patrick's Day themed elements set.  Hope you enjoy these!  The overlays are scaled for a 12 x 12 inch layout at 300 dpi.  One has a drop shadow, the other does not.

And speaking of Free things, and pretty ones at that, have you visited KimB's and caught the lovely FREEBIE TEMPLATE 0305?  You don't want to miss it - or the sale on her CU Collab and Southern Comfort kits, both on sale!  Click on the kit and it will zip you over!

  2. Love your creation - it is "charming". Hope you are going to dress head to toe in green in honour of the day!

St Patricks Day is a public holiday that civil servants, hospitals, banks etc get the day off. However depending which "tradition" you are from all the catholic schools seem to have a holiday but the state schools (traditional Protestant) don't! So growing up it was just another day at school for me :(

  7. Thank you so much for sharing. I don't actually celebrate the day, but I do wear green, even if it is only a little pin that says, "World's Tallest Leprechaun."
