Gina's Little Snowman

download

I made this sweet little digitally hand-painted (meaning I painted it freehand using artrage and a wacom tablet) for my dear friend Gina. He's so cute that I had to take him out of the freezer to share with you this year. I wish I had something NEW for my friend Gina, as she has been so dear to me over this past year - but I'm sure she won't mind sharing me sharing him with you again. Why not slip over and leave a comment on Gina's blog for me instead of leaving one here - and check out her new header! Thanks for being a good friend to me Gina - Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I'd also like to wish my friend Becky a Merry, Merry Christmas. We've not spent time together for the last little bit of time, and I SORELY miss you!

Who can put a value on a friendship? Who can measure in any kind of terms just what true friendship is worth? True friendship does not require daily contact to keep it alive. Long time friends, who've been apart for years, can meet and pick up just where they left off. A man may lose everything, but if he is rich if he still has loyal and devoted friends. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote the following words - "a friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature."

To be rich in admiration and free from envy; to rejoice greatly in the good of others; to love with such generosity of heart that your love is still a dear possession in absence or unkindness - these are the gifts of fortune which money can buy nothing. He who has such a treasury of riches, being happy and valiant himself, in his own nature, will enjoy the universe as if it were his own estate; and help the man to whom he lends a hand to enjoy it with him. ~ Robert Lewis Stephenson
