365 Photo of the Day

Mom made an apple pie today and I learned something from her.  

When your pie is a little runny (fruit) or flubby (custard, cream or pudding) 

don't drain it off, just tip it up a bit, (obviously in the direction where the 

juices will run back into itself) put a prop under it and leave it until its cool. It will absorb the extra.

Ha!  This is her own tip she "figgered out" by herself, before the days of Pinterest.
