Mojo 234

I’ve been away visiting with my sweet little sister, Nina and spending time with my in-laws (we are having an early Easter gathering as it fits in with Spring Break for school)  Basically internet-less and feeling almost scarily like I’m going through withdrawals.  But no time can be more valuable than family time so in other ways I’m very happy about that.

My time with Nina allowed us to have special sister time and  to craft together, we made a mittful of cards but I’m only going to share Mojo at this time because I am having to use my iphone as an internet hotspot and can’t afford to eat up my data.  I also will not be doing my rounds on blogs at this time either, its a longer process to comment than I’d like, and I like to comment if I visit and again, family time is precious so I will pop this post in and then do just that.   I’m having a just me and Mom-in-law lunch date today.  So I apologise if I’ve missed you but I will be back online this week.

I thought I’d better get a post happening here, so way far behind.  Life is very very good and I’m busy from day till night, very creative times.  Spring is coming to our little corner of the world, the ice finally melted off the lake.  Well, today does not look spring like, we are calling for slushy snow/rain. 

I took a few moment to create a card today!

Mojo 231 and the opening of new store Indie Lulu Living!

 

I took the time to create a card for Mojo Monday today - I created a set of four at once as I’m streamlining these days. 

Here’s this week’s sketch:

Hmmm looking at this I may add an orange pearl to the top of the sentiment too, right in the middle.

I used wallpaper for the base … really, from a wallpaper sample. I used various sparkle and solid cardstocks, none that bore any identification.  I had this ribbon forever, it fit right in.  I created the sentiment and it’s cut myself.  I altered a sunshine cut element from the Silhouette Store.   That’s about it, really!

I’ve been away a lot helping open up a brand new shop here in Osoyoos.  I loved it so much and enjoy the company of owners Susan and Bridget and its such a way nice place to be that I will be working there one day a week as well!   Here are some photos I’ve taken over the past week and for the opening.

Changing the outside from lurid lemon to our own beautiful purple.  I created all the graphics for our shop and you will be treated to them over the coming weeks.    I did not know I could do all this!

Susan is at the till dealing with a customer and Bridget is in the right corner of this photo.

We carry a mix of vintage to new, from small decorative items, handmade items all the way up to urban furniture.
