People are always surprised that we still get a tv signal. We have an ancient tv, purchased for $25 some years ago. We have no cable, no converter. We get three channels (2 being the same one) all when we hold our mouths the right way and tuck the rabbit ears through a handle on the china cabinet.
Since we rarely watch the thing we don't feel hard done by. Still, we do enjoy the news. So what if it's a bit grainy - which happens from interference when I turn my computer on.
We have one of those things called a VCR but our DVD player bit the dust ages ago.
And believe it or not, we are STILL too busy!
One day we 'spect to turn the tv on and find ... Snow? Nothing? And I guess we will just deal with it.

Good Evening Barb:)
ReplyDeleteI am surprised you get a signal too.:) I can remember the days we had three channels and that was all there was.We had to put aluminum foil on our antenna to get a signal sometimes. We actually had to get up and go turn the knobs on it to change the channel.Things sure were a lot less complicated back then.hehe
Hope you are enjoying your time away from the TV.:)
Love and hugs,
Valinda
lol Barb, $25 what a bargain hehe!
ReplyDeleteYes well if you don't what TV you can cope with a bit of snow and crackling whilst watching the news.
We don't have sky but we do have freeview and the only time I use freeview is when QVC has a crafting event on lol!
How are you Barb, it's been a long time since I've been around, I sure do miss blog hopping, so today I have decided it's a hop day, I'm going see what my friends are up to lol!
Have a glorious weekend xx
