After autumn into winter into an early spring, the fruit trees become unruly.  Branches and limbs gangle upward reaching hard – seeking the warmth of the sun.  Orchardists come out like one-armed lobsters with pruners in hand, snipping and snapping.

And I too, come out and rummage through the fallen branches and harvest some of the tall lithe branches.

And turn them into bundles of spring.

And leave some love on the doorstep of a few hearts.  What joy it brings to share the sweet pleasure of watching spring unfold indoors.

Mini Mighty Mushrooms. 

Its only February.  Not even the middle yet.  I could hardly believe my eyes.  Spring is Sprung here in the South Okanagan I’d say. 

I celebrated with this Cinnamon Bun Mountain dessert. 

Pull a nice soft made-the-same-day Cinnamon Bun apart and place it in the dish.  Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle with toasted pecans, toasted coconut, a drizzle of caramel sauce, a ffffssshhht of whip cream and then a square of Lindt.

Can you imagine what my celebrate its summer dessert will look like?

May is generally a month of very changeable weather, so I thought I'd bring this barometer out of the vault for those of you who may not have gotten it last year. I'm sure you will find many uses for it.

I've been SO busy, can hardly take a breath these days - and I long to tell you all about it, but it will have to wait for a day or two because tomorrow will find me helping trim hedges. I'll be back to share some of the funniest pictures in the universe with you of Roger and Marie's alpacas who just got shaved! Bear with me. In the meantime, here's a few pics I put side by side for you to compare - from the end of February to the End of April. Amazing how a few months makes such as difference.
