I have to admit my card is appropriately designed as far as graphics because it really did take me a looonnng time to make and it was sloooow going. I based it on this week's Muse Challenge #186 - here's the lovely sample card by Anita Bowden given:
Lucky me, not only have I been enjoying time visiting my sister Nina this past week, I've also been raiding her craft supplies and getting some creative time in with her. I used the basic layout and look of Anita's card as a model, using a trio of turtles and the single line sentiment in the same position. My supplies included a WeR embossing folder with the base cardstock, the sweet turtles stamped by The Stamps of Life - Turtle2love, scraps of glittery designer paper scraps for the "shells" and the placing of semi transparent sequins for the little touch of magic at the end.
This is wonderful - love how you've converted flora to fauna but kept it neutral! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Barbara!
ReplyDeleteThis picture does not do your card justice Barb, the scraps of paper you used for your turtles is perfect and I love the CAS design.
ReplyDeleteI love your fun and clever take on Anita's Muse card. Just a wonderful idea to keep the design but flick it upside down with a completely different image idea!
ReplyDeleteI love where my card took you. The embossing design is a great choice to emulate the turtle shells, and I love the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
I love your little turtles. They make me smile. This is such a beautiful card.
