SHINY GLITTER STAR ELEMENT
When I made these star elements I was reminded that our Creator made each and ever single star - what sparkly fun that must have been. I get so used to all that is around me that I fail to fully appreciate the miricle of it all. This is one thing I especially enjoy on summer vacation - the opportunity each night to sit and simply ponder the stars - lay under that blanket of diamonds on velvet and thnk about the reason for it all. When I do this, I realize how trivial are my own small worries and trials. I am a mere speck in His vast creation, yet he treasures each of us! One song that comes to mind when I think of stars and creation is My Redeemer by Nicole C Mullen. You may watch her video Redeemer HERE and the words are:
MY REDEEMER LIVES
Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning?
And who told the ocean you can only come this far?
And who showed the moon where to hide till evening?
whose words alone can catch a falling star?
Well I know my redeemer lives
I know my redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
this life within me cries
I know my redeemer lives
The very same Godthat spins things in orbit
runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
and the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken
they conquered death to bring me victory
HAND PAINTED HUMMINGBIRD ELEMENT
I had a special request from my friend Alison to make a hummingbird element, so I created this one in ArtRage - its digitally hand painted using the oil paints. I'm not sure where you might use it, but I would love to see if you do! I am spending the day with Ali - a rare treat!
BARB'S TIP # 44
Oil Your Legs!
This is very handy for me on vacation - if I run out of shaving cream while we are camping I won't use soap as it can be very drying to my skin. I will instead, use Olive Oil. It makes it easier for the blade to glide over the skin, but it also moisturizes!
Love, love , love the hummingbird and the locket and the stars and, of course the cute lil' ladybug! Thank you so very much. You are so talented.....you really should be making and selling kits!!
ReplyDeletelove the hummingbird ....never ever would of thought of olive oil..you are always thinking...love ya sis
ReplyDeleteI haven't shaved my legs with a razor since high school. I'm a wuss :( I always use an electric shaver.
