RADIAL BLUE ELEMENT
We took a few hours out yesterday and enjoyed an evening drive west of our town. The weather has been unusually rainy this year so the hills are lush and green, whereas in previous years toward summer they would be beginning to turn brown. It was beautiful seeing the sun stream in shafts through gaps in the clouds, lighting up little pockets of land here and there. Sometimes in God's presence I feel like that, as if the rest of the world is storming, yet I'm standing in that on bit of sunshine.
Can never get enough of our Osoyoos View!
We 'paid' (pun) a BIG visit to Shoppers Drug Mart yesterday. We recieved a flyer in the mail that said shopping this Saturday would give 20 times the 'points' than usual. There were also many good buys on. I have been clutching on to two coupons for months now, and I used this opportunity to cash in on them. Actually, in thinking about it, they work against each other, he he. One was for Oreo Cookies, regularly $3.79, discounted to $1.97 and using my coupon reduced them to $1.47. The other is the Crest Whitestrips regularly $24.99, discounted to $19.99 and using my coupon for $7 took it down to $12.99. I came away with 15,000 points!
Gotta get that PERFECT shot!
By the way, I got the coupons in a magazine I recieve from Kraft. You can sign up for their magazine by going to their website - and remember that the Canadian site is separate from the US site. The magazines are delivered four times a year and are simply beautiful, full of good recipes etc.

BARB'S TIP # 39
Eliminate the fat from soup and stew. Drop a few ice cubes into the pot and stir. The fat will cling to the cubes. Just throw away the ice cubes before they melt!
Love this element. And a very cute picture of view with your new friends. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWow, that really is a great view! And I will definitely have to go register for the magazine at Kraft. Thanks for the tip!

ReplyDeleteYour elements are great. I love your tips too. If you come across a recipe for making an environmental friendly vinegar based weedkiller, would you print it here? I saw one on the Vancouver tv newshour by Teri Moore but forgot the ingredients & amounts.
