I hope you had a good weekend. We made our way through -lol! The weather is definately gloomy here, and I find this affects me more than I realize. In the past my dear husband has even ended up sending me to the tanning booth... If I get to feeling low and we can't quite put a finger on it, then it's lack of light affecting me. I'm not there yet... Now, on the other hand, I can see you, Gina, basking there in the warm sun of Aruba - yeah, Chicka - I hope you're having a good time! It's been hard w/o my girlfriend - but me and Sonya get to chat w/ each other in her absence, wondering how Gina's doing etc. We are sure glad your only gone for a short time G!
I will be heading to the Learning Center this morning as there is a new student wanting to explore the realms of digital art (he, he, I get to PLAY!) so I will spend some time playing in ArtRage. If you are a newbie to my blog, if you've never heard for ArtRage, you simply have to check it out. It's a digital painting program like no other - and it's free. I made last year's Christmas Cards using it even!

BARB'S HANDY TIP # 118
Glass is Classy
Now we are renters, so we are not into the building and decorating scene, but many of my readers are... and some friends are REALLY, REALLY into that scene for the next few years of their lives, right Beck??? I don't usually read home decor magazines either, but knowing that you all might be interested in this, I take out back issues of home decorating mags and browse them to see what's new. Actually, I am very, very impressed! A lot of it is sheer art! For example, the picture above is a glass sink - and they come in many colors! Glass seems to be in and I am featuring several pages here. Browse through the different sites. I liked the HEAT SENSITIVE SHOWER TILES at one of them. Please let me know if you have any cool sites I might feature here!
Thank you for the charms and chain..I sure appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteBarb - those links to the glass sites are so cool. Can you imagine having that much glass in your house? I think we're too clumsy for that. LOL The first one "glass art sinks' would be fun though. So beautiful! Maybe in the house we build for ourselves I'll do some fancy stuff like that. Right now I'll just be content with my "robin's egg blue" bathroom sink. LOL (the tub & toilet are white though)
ReplyDeletethe charms aree lovely - thanks :)
ReplyDeleteand that glass sink - WOW - toooooo cool!
We should all be able to live with beautiful glass sinks! Lol. Well, those of us artistically inclined that is ... lol. Thanks for the fun links (again) and the beautiful charms! I've got them in my Christmas folder and I'll let you know when I take them out to play. Thanks for the comment on my Halloween LO where I used your fun duotone clips too! :D I keep adding your Mrs.Miles to the front of your lovely creations... don't want to ever forget giving you credit! :D Thanks! :D
ReplyDeleteThank You for the beautiful Christmas charms hope you had fun playing today!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! :) I can't wait to do some Christmas pages! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThat glass is really cool! Thanks for the charms....they are beautiful!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the cute charms. The snowflake is so delicate! cg
ReplyDeleteMore gorgeous charms! You really are very good at designing these! I especially love the delicate snowflake. Thank you for, once again, sharing your talents. :) Also, thank you for your kind reaction to my download site suggestions.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who used to live in Victoria, BC and she had S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) and needed to use a special light for a certain amount of time each day to help keep the blues away. Have you tried that? I wonder if those Ott brand lights (that mimic real daylight) are similar? I noticed that you can buy them at Staples and at Michaels now. Even though our winters in Manitoba can be nasty, we apparently get quite a bit of sunlight. It's not much good though, when you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. You start to feel like a mole!! If you go out for lunch or something in the middle of winter, you feel like you are being blinded by that bright shiny object in the sky (a.k.a. "sun"). Ha! Ha! Just a little Canadian winter humour there!! Oops, it seems I am writing a book. Take care. :)
Barb, from sunny (and now snowy) Manitoba, CANADA
Thank you for the Christmas charms.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful charms. Those glass sinks are really something but not sure they're my style!
